Dragon Quest Builders 2 to Receive a Free Demo on PS4 This Month

Square Enix announced that their RPG builder Dragon Quest Builders 2 will launch a free demo on PlayStation 4 on June 27.

During the demo, players will be able to preview the game’s building mechanics and updated features compared to its predecessor Dragon Quest Builders. Dragon Quest Builders 2 features a brand new story and character as players will need to prepare for battle against the Children of Hargon to bring the power of creation back to the land.

Additionally, the publisher released a new trailer introducing the world of the game to players. This trailer highlights the game’s many building mechanics including how players will be able to use tools to build and harvest. However, that’s not all players can do in this world. Danger lurks around every corner of the map and players will set out to explore the world to find new resources to collect as well as new recruits to help build their town up to excellence.

The publisher also revealed some pre-order bonuses which give all players in-game Medicinal Herb Decoration, a Dragon Quest Logo Decoration, and a Chimaera Wing Decoration. Physical pre-orders will give players a magnet sheet featuring the heroes, building blocks, and Slime enemies. Digital pre-orders will receive in-game Sigil Block recipes and icons.

Dragon Quest Builders 2 will release on PlayStation 4 on July 12.
