      • Improved overall stability and performance.

The centerpiece of the expansion is Limit Breaker Journey, a new single-player mode that lets players strengthen an individual character through repeatable runs. Players travel across a map by choosing different routes, battling opponents, and triggering events that grant experience, stat-boosting Battle Art, or additional training opportunities.

The mode also introduces a stamina system. Traveling between encounters consumes stamina, reducing a character’s starting health in the next battle. Enemy strength is measured by an SP rating, with tougher opponents rewarding more experience. As players increase their SP, they earn points that can be invested into six different attributes. Those upgraded stats aren’t limited to the mode itself, as enhanced characters can also be used in Player Matches and Offline Battles.

The DLC also adds 33 playable fighters pulled from Dragon Ball, Dragon Ball Z, Dragon Ball Super, and Dragon Ball GT. The DLC also includes four new Episode Battles, additional Extra Battles, and four original stages.

Players who don’t purchase the expansion will still receive new content through a free update launching the same day. The update adds two combat mechanics first shown during the DLC’s announcement.

Sparking! Boost allows players to spend additional Skill Stock during Sparking! mode to dramatically increase attack power for a short burst before suffering a temporary stat penalty once the effect expires. Chain Blast lets players extend combos by tagging in a reserve teammate after launching an opponent, continuing the assault with a Blast attack. The update also includes three new variations of existing stages.

Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero is available for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam.
