DOOM Eternal Trailer Highlights Switch Gameplay Ahead of December Launch
Bethesda released the launch trailer for the id Software developed DOOM Eternal, coming to Nintendo Switch on December 8.
The trailer shows the fast action game running on Switch hardware while highlighting some of the story beats and bosses that players will encounter along the way. Additionally, players can have a different experience with the Switch by using the gyro in the controls to aim. This can be used in conjunction with the control stick for accuracy.
Compared to other versions of the game, I wouldn’t expect this to look pretty, but if it runs well, then the Switch may be a great portable option for this intense experience. I’m not sure if anyone held out for the Switch version, but this is one of those must-play first-person shooters.
DOOM Eternal has the player assume the role of the Doom Slayer once again, who is an ancient warrior who takes on the demonic forces of Hell. The game is played in the first-person perspective where the player will need to use a variety of different weapons and abilities to take out hordes of enemies.
Gameplay arenas allow players to swiftly move through levels and chain together kills as they switch weapons and unleash graphic attacks known as Glory Kills. Additionally, there’s a functioning grappling hook for players to use in and out of combat.
