Don’t Starve: Newhome Revealed as Multiplayer Mobile Survival Adventure

Tencent Games announced that they are working on the next installment of Klei’s Don’t Starve series titled Don’t Starve: Newhome, in development for iOS and Android devices.

Don’t Starve: Newhome is a free-to-play mobile game developed by Shengqu Games, that aims to expand on the core survival, exploration, and crafting elements of the Don’t Starve series and bring that to mobile devices. The game will include social and multiplayer elements as well that mirror its console version’s offering.

The game will have a limited closed Beta testing program scheduled for July with sign-ups open now. Players will be able to complete a series of challenges during the test period to earn rewards and unique in-game gifts that will carry over to the full game.

Don’t Starve: Newhome has a few new features that allow the player to go through fast play sessions with their friends through a personalized progression system. Players can spend time building homes and discovering new creatures as they do their best to survive. Surprisingly, there is also a story mode and post-launch live support.
