The Division 2’s Free Episode 1 Update Launches Later This Month
Ubisoft announced that they will be delivering on their Year 1 free content roadmap for Tom Clancy’s The Division 2.
The first portion of the game’s free content, Episode 1 – D.C. Outskirts: Expeditions, will launch on July 23 for Year 1 Pass holders and July 30 for all other players on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC including Stadia.
Episode 1 – D.C. Outskirts: Expeditions takes players outside the streets of Washington D.C. to explore a new location and picks up where the story left off after the final boss at Tidal Basin. The content will include two new main missions, Camp White Oak and Manning National Zoo. These areas will have players intercept known targets and take on some tough enemies. Also, players will be able to enter Kenly College to take on an Expedition. These new experiences will be split into three different wings for players to complete. Each wing will have a specific theme and tone and will be released on a week-by-week basis.
Additionally, players will find new gear including the exotic weapon Diamondback Rifle and the exotic gear BTSU Datagloves. The update will also introduce a new raid difficulty setting for Operation Dark Hours and improvements made to crafting as well as weapon balancing and skill buffs.
