Dissidia Final Fantasy NT Gets a Final Fantasy XI Character and a Final Fantasy XV Arena

Calling all Dissidia Final Fantasy NT warriors: Square Enix has announced that Final Fantasy XI villain, Kam’lanaut, and the  Final Fantasy XV arena, Insomnia, are available now.

In Final Fantasy XI, Kam’lanaut was known as a hero in the flourishing city of Jueno, however, unbeknownst to the city’s residents, he had quite a few sinister plans in mind. Definitely, a guy that you had to watch out for.

As one of the warriors in Dissidia Final Fantasy NT, Kam’lanaut is still a force to be reckoned with. He masterfully wields a magical sword that deals powerful elemental damage and has the power to grow stronger after every successful hit. Not only that, but he can also unleash his unique EX Skill ‘Esoteric Region’ to manifest an arcane area around him which devours any warriors who carelessly step into it. Basically, Kam’lanaut is a hunting expert.

Square Enix released a new trailer for Kam’lanaut to show us just how much of a hunting expert he is. At the beginning of the trailer, there’s a Final Fantasy XI clip that has Kam’lanaut building up his power, then suddenly transforming into a white armored warrior. Righter after the clip, Kam’lanaut is shown striking down warriors with ease in Dissidia Final Fantasy NT.

Watch Kam’lanaut in action in the trailer below:

Kam’lanaut is available now as a standalone purchase, or as part of the season pass. The season pass also includes Final Fantasy XII’s main villain Vayne, Final Fantasy VI’s dashing thief Locke, and Final Fantasy VIII’s angelic, blade edge wielding Rinoa, along with two additional unrevealed characters. Each character comes with two additional costumes and weapons.

Additionally, the iconic battle arena of Insomnia from Final Fantasy XV is available to play in both offline and online modes for all warriors to enjoy.

Author’s Take: I, unfortunately, missed out on playing Final Fantasy XI. Kam’lanuat looks excellent, so cheers to Final Fantasy XI fans that now have the opportunity to play as him in Dissidia Final Fantasy NT.
