Square Enix revealed that their Final Fantasy brawler Dissidia Final Fantasy NT will receive a Free Edition on PC-via Steam and PlayStation 4 on March 12.
Dissidia Final Fantasy NT Free Edition allows players to try out the game with access to a limited roster of characters on a weekly basis. Additionally, a variety of characters and weapons will be made available to players to be purchased individually. This action is in an effort to allow players to play as their favorite characters without having to purchase the full game.
Dissidia Final Fantasy NT is a 3-vs-2 fighting game developed in partnership with Team Ninja. The game features characters from across the Final Fantasy series and pits them against each other in a unique fighting experience. However, the game hasn’t really caught on with players in the west outside of growing a small community of dedicated fans so this Free Edition might breathe new life into the game.
Players will be able to download Dissidia Final Fantasy NT Free Edition from March 12 on Steam and PS4.
Author’s take: Hey, this worked for Dead or Alive 5 when it launched the core fighters so I’m sure it will catch the eye of gamers looking for a new free game to get their hands on.
