Square Enix has unveiled a new post-launch trailer for their 3v3 team-based boss battle game Dissidia Duellum Final Fantasy, introducing Rikku from Final Fantasy X, finally joining the fray.
Voiced by Marika Matsumoto, Rikku’s new design, combat capabilities, and character interactions are highlighted.
Dissidia Duellum takes place in modern Tokyo, where a massive crystal appears. It becomes a familiar presence, but the sudden appearance of monsters pollutes it, causing familiar Final Fantasy heroes to appear and save the day. However, their concealed identities and evasive behaviors after the battle have led the populace to refer to them as Ghosts.
The combat system revolves around hunting monsters near crystals to purify them and gain Bravery, and then performing Bravery Burst against bosses for significant damage. Your goal is to defeat the bosses faster than the opposing team. Popular artists draw the character abilities, and each character embodies one of four roles: Ranged, Melee, Support, and Agile.
There is also Japanese voice acting, various outfits reflecting the modern world, collectible Memoria from the Final Fantasy series to boost character stats, and music tracks from other games, including arranged interpretations.
Dissidia Duellum is available on mobile devices via iOS and Android.
