Disgaea RPG Global Announces End of Service May 2023
Boltrend Games has just announced that Disgaea RPG’s Global servers will officially shut down on May 12, 2023. In-game purchases and registration will be closed on April 19, and players will still be able to use Nether Quartzes until the game’s closure. This end-of-service announcement only applies to the global version, whereas the Japanese version will continue.
Disgaea RPG was released early this year in the West and has players build a party of characters from across the Disgaea series. Interestingly, this is not a tactical RPG that fans might be expecting. Instead, it’s an RPG and a largely automated one for mobile players. The game was developed by ForwardWorks; this free-to-play game has a gacha system for players to collect new characters.
During battles, players will take on waves of enemies after forming five characters. Players can also utilize throwing systems for added abilities, but it’s relatively straightforward. We also did a review of it as well.
