Disgaea Reveals New Merchandise for Pre-Order; Including Character Plushes
Alongside publisher NIS America announcing the localization of the next mainline entry of the Disgaea franchise, Disgaea 7 Vows of the Virtueless, the company also announced a plethora of new merchandise for the series.
Firstly, three miniature plushes of Laharl, Etna, and Flonne were revealed, with late June 2023 releases. Additionally, each item costs $36.99.
A Disgaea “20 Years of Raising HL” Anniversary Acrylic Print was also announced for $299.99, with a planned late June 2023 launch.
The Disgaea “20 Years of Raising HL” Anniversary 1000-piece Puzzle is available for pre-order too, releasing in Fall 2023 for $27.99.
Lastly, on the Disgaea train is the “20 Years of Raising HL” Anniversary Pint Glass Set of 3. Costing $46.99, shipments are expected to occur in late June 2023.
Lastly, company-centric merchandise, comprising a decorative pillow and a mini plump Prinny plush, both cost $29.99, with late June 2023 shipments in mind.
Disgaea 7 is currently available in Japan for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch.
Disgaea 7 Vows of the Virtueless will launch Westward for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and PC in Fall 2023.
Disgaea 7 is set in a world known as the “Hinomoto Netherworld Cluster,” inspired by Japanese culture. The game is directed by Shunsuke Minowa, who previously worked on Disgaea 5: Alliance of Vengeance, and is said to retain much of what fans love about the series, including its over-the-top characters and strategy RPG systems. These elements of the series make it “infinitely” replayable to many of the fans.
The story follows Fuji, a poor demon who is allergic to human expressions, including emotions such as love and friendship. Further, other characters include Pirilika, Ao, Wey-yasu, and Higan Zesshousai, who each join the adventure. A new feature of the game is Dodeka MAX, where the character grows larger than the map and can unleash powerful attacks on multiple enemies.
Additionally, items can now be reincarnated to be stronger, similar to weapons. Characters can also be reincarnated to return to level 1, but with the option to retain some of their stats.
