Nippon Ichi Software is staying with the current trends as they release the first round of character DLC for Disgaea 6 in Japan.
While the DLC is not announced for the west at this time, those playing on Japanese accounts will have access to three new characters from past titles including Rozalin from Disgaea 2, Lady Laharl from Disgaea D2, and Adell from Disgaea 2. Each character is available for 550 yen and will feature a story arc, which will need to be completed in order to add the character to your part. Further, there’s an additional character available for free, Asagi from Makai Wars.
An additional free DLC is available as the Hololive Vtubers bundle where five characters can be added to your party including Flare Shiranui, Watame Tsunomaki, Fubuki Shirakami, Rushia Uruha, and Polka Omaru. Each character brings unique abilities and skills to the group, but they each have a unique job class, such as Fubuki as a Prinny.
Disgaea 6: Defiance of Destiny is the first new Disgaea mainline entry to release in six years. The story follows Zed, a zombie that has risen from the depths of the underworld and conquered everyone except for the God of Destruction himself.
Players will witness how a zombie boy turns the Netherworld upside down as Zed steps up to the God of Destruction and his minions. The game features Super Reincarnation, 3D character models, which are new for the series, and adjustable gameplay settings to make the experience a little easier.
Disgaea 6: Defiance of Destiny is coming to the west this Summer.
