The composer of the classic Atlus JRPGs Digital Devil Story: Megami Tensei from 1987 and Digital Devil Story: Megami Tensei II from 1990, Tsukasa Masuko, has recently launched a Kickstarter for a rearrangement album of Famicom Megami Tensei songs.
These arrangements would specifically be from the Famicom versions of Digital Devil Story: Megami Tensei and Digital Devil Story: Megami Tensei II and feature lyrics. This effort is also stated to fulfill a promise for a deceased friend of Masuko’s.
Masuko went on to say that conceptualization for the arrangements has been completed, and alongside CD production, the following will need financial support:
- English lyrics ([He does not] have the ability to write English lyrics)
- Re-arrangement of the song as a song to be sung (by a third-party arranger)
- Recording (costs for singer, performer, and recording studio)
- Track down
The following songs from Digital Devil Story: Megami Tensei have been confirmed:
