Digimon World: Next Order Now Available on Switch & PC; Launch Trailer
Bandai Namco has announced that the simulation RPG Digimon World: Next Order is now available on Nintendo Switch and PC. The game was initially only available for PlayStation Vita before receiving a PlayStation 4 port. But now, more fans can experience this journey on additional platforms.
A conclusive trailer was shared to commemorate the launch emphasizing how players can raise Digimon, participate in battles, evolve them, and explore the world with those creatures in tow.
Digimon World: Next Order is a sequel to the original PlayStation game from 1999. This open-world mix of raising sim and RPG tells the story of a group of kids who end up going to the Digital World during a moment of crisis. It’s up to the player (who can take on the role of a young male or female) to raise their partners and learn of the true state of the world.
The main hook of this one, in particular, is that you have two partners simultaneously. Not only does that mean double the bathroom time and more coordination to manage them simultaneously, but it also opens up possibilities with type advantage/disadvantage control and the classic DNA evolution (Jogress). Altogether, there are over 200 Digimon that the player may have as partners.
