Digimon World: Next Order International Edition Reveals Beginner Mode & Dash Mode Functions
In a press release shared with Japanese outlet 4Gamer, developer and publisher Bandai Namco announced two new upcoming features that will be exclusively available on the Digimon World: Next Order International Edition, which is set to release on Switch and PC via Steam worldwide on February 22.
The first feature is the addition of a Beginner difficulty mode. This will make the game even easier than the already existing Easy difficulty, and in the screenshot provided, the developers say that it is aimed towards newcomers that have never played a Digimon World series game before.
The next feature is the ability to dash in the overworld. According to the developers, this allows the player character to move at a speed that’s 40% faster for as long as the button is pressed down.
Digimon World: Next Order is a sequel to the original PlayStation game from 1999. This open-world mix of raising sim and RPG tells the story of a group of kids who end up going to the Digital World during a moment of crisis. It’s up to the player (who can take on the role of a young male or female) to raise their partners and learn of the true state of the world.
The main hook of this one, in particular, is the fact you have two partners at the same time. Not only does that mean double the bathroom time and more coordination to manage them simultaneously, but it also opens up possibilities with type advantage/disadvantage control and the classic DNA evolution (jogress). Altogether, there are over 200 Digimon that the player may have as partners.
