Diablo IV Announces Steam Deck Verification Ahead of Launch

Blizzard has announced that the upcoming Steam release of their action RPG Diablo IV is Steam Deck verified, as seen on the official store page. Thanks to Wario64 for catching this news.

This means that alongside simply being functional, the title will immediately work when launched on the device, is optimized, and requires no additional steps or configuration.

For those who missed it, the game’s Steam port was announced earlier this month, with it planned to launch on October 17, 2023.

Diablo IV is a dungeon-crawling RPG set in the bleak world of Sanctuary. Players will choose between five different classes to adventure alone or with friends as they search the realm for the Daughter of Hatred, Lillith. However, things will not be easy as hordes of demons rise to defend their master.

In case you missed it, the Season of Blood was announced, consisting of new gameplay implementations, on October 17, 2023.

The game was also confirmed to have seen 12 million players and 1.3 billion hours of playtime since launch.

Diablo IV is currently available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via the Blizzard Launcher.
