Devolver Digital Direct Announced for June 8

Devolver Digital has announced that their previously confirmed event, Devolver Direct, will premiere on June 8, 2023, at 3 PM PT/ 6 PM ET. Titled The Return of Volvy, this mascot will present the publisher’s new game announcements, reveals, and more.

In case you missed it, Devolver Digital recently acquired developer doinksoft, who is at work crafting Gunbrella.

Gunbrella is a stylish 2D action-adventure has players utilize a crafty tool that is simultaneously a gun and an umbrella, hence the title. Well-timed platforming is necessary, with the umbrella part of the main character’s weapon creating a pseudo-glide, and the gun is well, a gun. The world is losing its natural resources, and an increasingly bizarre cast of characters requires aid in numerous ways.

Gunbrella will launch for PC in 2023.

The publisher’s arguably most well-known title now is Cult of the Lamb.

Cult of the Lamb has players assume the role of a possessed lamb who has been saved from annihilation by a stranger. Players will need to start their cult in these lands of false prophets, and the goal is to work hard to be the one true cult.

During gameplay, players will build new structures by gathering materials and performing rituals to appease gods. Further, players will need to conduct sermons to gather the most followers. However, there are some non-believers, and they will need to be dealt with through action combat. Players can also train their flock and send them out on missions. The gameloop is to Cleanse the non-believers, spread enlightenment, and perform mystical rituals on the journey to become the mighty lamb god.
