Devolver Digital 2D Action-Adventure ‘Gunbrella’ Announces September 2023 Release Date for Switch & PC; New Demo Available

Devolver Digital has announced that the doinksoft-developed 2D action-adventure game Gunbrella will launch for Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam on September 13, 2023.

Pre-ordering the game will grant customers another doinksoft title, Gato Roboto, for free. Further, a new Gunbrella demo is now available on PC via Steam.

This stylish 2D action-adventure has players utilize a crafty tool that is simultaneously a gun and an umbrella, hence the title. Well-timed platforming is necessary, with the umbrella part of the main character’s weapon creating a pseudo-glide, and the gun is well, a gun. The world is losing its natural resources, and an increasingly bizarre cast of characters requires aid in numerous ways.

Gunbrella occurs in a world where the resource all rely on has dwindled considerably. Players will control a gruff woodsman seeking vengeance utilizing the titular Gunbrella. Players can use it to swing, dash, glide, and dive for progression and secrets. You can also salvage scrap and spare parts for upgrades, as well as interrogate a unique cast of characters all chronicled in your notebook.
