Brutal Action Game ‘Devil’s Hunt’ Gets PC September Release Date, Console Release Window

Publisher 1C Entertainment announced that the Layopi Games developed bombastic third-person action game Devil’s Hunt will launch on PC-via Steam on September 17 and is set to release on PS4, Xbox One — and just recently announced, Switch — in Q1 2020.

According to a press release, initially, 1C Entertainment and Layopi Games had intended for the game to launch simultaneously across all platforms. That said, the decision to change the console versions releases into early 2020 was a tough but necessary decision to make. Rather than focusing on all versions of the game at the same time, both the publisher and developer ended up deciding to focus on the game’s PC debut to ensure it had the polish it needed to be the best it can be for players. Delays are always a slight bummer, but in the end, most of the time they’re worth the wait — so here’s hoping Devil’s Hunt console versions will be.

In Devil’s Hunt, you step into the shoes of Desmond, a badass anti-hero and Miami boy who has a tendency to start a ruckus. Evidently, he’s forged a deal with the devil and then finds himself in the middle of an intense struggle between angels and demons. With humankind hanging by a thread, Desmond must learn to control, master, and use his newly-acquired demonic powers as he punches his way through hell, taking down plenty of angelic and demonic creatures.

Fun fact: The story is actually based on the original novel Equilibrium by Paweł Leśniak. As far as combat goes, we’re definitely getting some Infamous or Prototype vibes from it.
