Capcom has launched Devil May Cry 5 Special Edition, on Xbox Series X, with a Playstation 5 release planned for November 12.
To celebrate, the publisher released a new trailer showing some moments of the story but focusing mostly on the action. It should be noted that ray tracing is only available on Xbox Series X and not Xbox Series S. Also, a physical release of the Special Edition will be available on December 2.
Devil May Cry 5 Special Edition uses the proprietary RE Engine, which has been enhanced to take advantage of more powerful hardware. This version of the game will feature ray tracing technology and enhance 3D audio and new modes, Turbo Mode and Legendary Dark Knight Mode.
Players can choose to enable increased frame rates of up to 120fps, play in 4K fidelity on supporting consoles, and experience the added sense of realism offered by the life-like reflections, shadows, and lighting of ray tracing technology.
With Vergil now playable, players will play through Red Grave City and utilize his unique skillset. Furthermore, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One owners can download the Vergil patch for $4.99.
