Developer Sunsoft Set to Make a Comeback During Virtual Event Next Week

Developer Sunsoft announced they will return as a developer and publisher after a lengthy hiatus. The company hasn’t had a western presence since Shanghai 3D Cube, which was published in the west by Atlus in 2011.

The event will be held on August 18, 2022, on the company’s YouTube channel at 1:00 PM PDT.

“Although we have been quiet for some time, many things have been happening behind the scenes,” said Yuichi Ochi, General Manager of Sunsoft. “We are very excited to be able to finally share our vision for the rebirth of Sunsoft with fans old and new.”

The publisher has been around since 1978 and has spawned games such as Spy Hunter, Aero the Acro-bat, Blaster Master, and Uforia: The Saga.
