Developer Robi Studios Announces That New Free Blue Fire Content is on the Way

Developer Robi Studios has announced that their exploratory action-adventure title, Blue Fire, will be receiving free updates introducing new content. The specificities of the content have only been teased and not yet detailed, but Robi Studios has stated that they are aiming to make a formal announcement in the near future.

You can read this news alongside other announcements on Robi Studios’ Blog.

Blue Fire was first revealed during Nintendo’s Indie World stream as a timed console exclusive for Switch. The ruined fortress of Penumbra has an incredible variety of environments with their own distinctive colorations and overall tones that help set each area apart.

Players will encounter the fortress’s ancestors along with descendants who have taken this land as their home and have tried their hardest to make it so. Puzzles and platforming accompany this title’s combat, making exploration a key process into which players must pour their skill and practicality.

Questing for various NPCs also plays an integral role in the title’s gameplay loop, providing players with continuous rewards like equipment that alters their stats and appearance. Movement is as important as combat due to the variety of obstacles players will have to overcome, from desolate corridors, abandoned forestry, dangerous magma caverns, and mini civilizations.

Blure Fire is currently available for PlayStation 4, PC, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.
