Destiny 2: Beyond Light Gets New Details Release Date Along With the Launch of Season of Arrivals

Bungie revealed the nest expansion for Destiny 2, Destiny 2: Beyond Light, with a scheduled release date for September 22. Additionally, the company has launched a new Destiny 2 season with Season of Arrivals, which started today.

Season of Arrivals and the Beyond Light expansion both aim to continue the narrative of the Guardians as they fight to save humanity. Players will uncover new mysteries, new powers, and the real menace of the Pyramid ships will be explored. This all begins with the Season of Arrivals available now.

Currently, in the story, the Pyramid ships have been making their way to our solar system, and their purpose is unclear, but they don’t seem to be friendly. During Season of Arrivals, the moon of lo will see the first Pyramid ship, which sets off a chain of events that unfold throughout the Season and bring players to the Beyond Light expansion.

Lastly, Bungie revealed that Destiny 2 will be available for both the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X. Those who purchase the expansion on the current console can transfer their games over to the new consoles to resume playing.

Destiny 2: Beyond Light tells the story of the power that comes from the ancient Pyramid ship above Europa. Guardians are able to explore the new universe and face whatever comes after them. This environment is mostly frozen as the Guardians infiltrate the Golden Age Braytech facility and uncover the secrets within.

A new raid will also be available in the Deep Stone Crypt of Europa. This is a six-person raid with many rewards to acquire.

Destiny 2 is available now on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.

More information about the new expansion will be delivered closer to launch. For now, you can watch the reveal event below:
