Denshattack! Platinum Update Adds New Medal Challenges, Unlockable Train, and Cutscene Rewatch

Developer Undercoders and publisher Fireshine Games have announced that Denshattack! has received the Platinum update, adding a new completion challenge, an unlockable train, and the ability to rewatch story cutscenes.

The main addition is Platinum Medals, which are now available to earn on every level. These sit above the existing Gold Medals and give players another completion target after mastering each track. Earning Platinum across every level also unlocks a new train.

The update also includes a cutscene rewatch feature. Previously viewed story scenes featuring Emi and the rest of the cast can now be accessed again directly from the game screen rather than requiring players to return to their original locations.

    The Platinum Update’s additions include:

    • Platinum Medals: A new medal tier available across every level.
    • New train: Earn Platinum Medals on every level to unlock an additional train.
    • Cutscene rewatch: Previously unlocked cutscenes can be replayed.

The developers also confirmed that Denshattack will be present at Gamescom next week and teased further updates.

Set in a colorful Japanese dystopia, Denshattack! has players control a train on a mission to take down the Miraido Corporation. Alongside a crew of outcasts, players will grind, flip, and trick their way to build both skill and reputation.

The game emphasizes stylish trick-based gameplay, encouraging high-score chasing. Progression is tied to defeating rival gangs and turning enemies into allies, culminating in a confrontation with the fastest train in existence.

Boss encounters promise over-the-top challenges, ranging from mecha magical girls and mechanical worms to moving castles and entire armies of rival Denshattackers. Each battle forces players to apply everything they’ve learned.

Denshattack! is available on Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam.
