Demon’s Souls Remake Shows Off More Gameplay in New Trailer, And We Couldn’t be More Excited
During the PlayStation 5 showcase, Sony Interactive Entertainment released a new trailer for the Japan Studious and Bluepoint-developed action-adventure Demon’s Souls Remake, which is currently in development for PlayStation 5.
The trailer shows the player-made character running through a dungeon and defeating many enemies along the way. However, the adventure is cut short at the end as a boss appears and completely destroys the player. Alternatively, we get a quick look at the HUB world as well as the environments, which gives the viewers a nice preview of what has gone into updating this game for a new generation.
Demon’s Souls was originally released in 2009 as a PlayStation 3 exclusive. The game is set in the world of Boletaria, which has become consumed by darkness. Players will assume the role of a hero who sets out to rid the darkness once and for all. As fans of the Souls series will know, this is a very difficult game, and it doesn’t look like the team is pulling any punches.
The newer version will take advantage of the DualSense controller’s haptics to immerse the player in the game. It’s supposed to allow you to feel like you delivering the blow during each swing, but you’ll also feel it when you get hit.
