Sega released a new trailer for their part game Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- Sweep the Board! coming to Nintendo Switch on April 26, 2024. The trailer highlights new gameboards that players can explore and take on with up to 4 other players. Players also get a look at the “Demon Slayer Dice” – each Demon-Slayer swordsman has their own set of dice that has unique special effects according to that character. Once used, a cooldown timer of 3 turns begins, so they will need to use this feature effectively. Finally, if a different character joins your group, you will be able to use their Demon Slayer Dice.
Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- Sweep the Board! transforms the captivating world of the anime into an engaging board game. Players will navigate through boards inspired by the series’ iconic locations, encountering both day and night phases. Daytime is for preparation through events and mini-games, while nighttime is for hunting and defeating demons. Success in these endeavors is crucial for players aspiring to rank among the elite Demon Slayers.
The game allows players to embody their favorite characters from the series, including Tanjiro, Zenitsu, Inosuke, and all nine Hashira, with Nezuko providing support. A notable feature is the innovative use of the Joy-Con™ controllers, enabling players to mimic sword slashes during mini-games against demons like the Hand Demon, enhancing the immersive experience of combat.
