Clouded Leopard Entertainment announced that the Kadokawa Games and Experience-developed dungeon-crawling RPG Demon Gaze Extra has been delayed on PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch from December 9, 2021, to a new release date of January 6, 2022.
The reasons for the delay were not shared, but I’m sure many smaller titles are avoiding the Final Fantasy XIV wave as much as possible. This is probably not the reason for the delay, but it just clears up some schedules.
Demon Gaze Extra will launch with Japanese and English audio and text support for Traditional Chinese, Korean, and English.
Demon Gaze Extra is an updated version of the 2014 release Demon Gaze. This version of the game contains new environments and dungeons for players to explore. Further, the dungeons will take players underground and even underwater. The graphics have been remastered for this release with updated illustrations and resolutions.
Further, Demon Gaze Extra will feature a few accessibility options such as a high-speed battle function, retry features, and an enhanced auto-play mode to help beginners. Autopilot mode makes exploring easier by getting through the random encounters quickly.
A physical release will be available for import on PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch with a Deluxe Edition available. Those who purchase the digital version early receive in-game items, the Healing Wand and Armor Gem Assortment Set DLC.
Demon Gaze Extra has players explore dungeons in the first person. The game focuses on party building and taking down bosses. Further, players can interact with their party members while at the inn to progress the story and get to know them better.
