Deltarune Chapters 1 & 2 Now Available on PC via Steam; Next Update Will Include Chapters 3, 4, and 5

Beloved video game developer Toby Fox has released the highly anticipated second chapter of Deltarune, the sequel/parallel story to the critically acclaimed Undertale. This Chapter is free and can be downloaded with the first Chapter on the game’s new Steam page.

While Toby Fox initially planned to release the rest of the Chapters simultaneously, he ultimately decided to release the second Chapter while working on the other parts. Therefore, Chapters 3, 4, and 5 are intended to release next and simultaneously, completing the title. Additionally, while no price is currently confirmed, Toby Fox stated that Deltarune would cost more than Undertale.

You can check out Chapter 1 by downloading the game through Steam. There are also PS4 and Switch releases of Chapter 1. Unfortunately, there has been no word on Chapter 2’s console releases yet.

Deltarune: Chapter 1 tells the story of Kris, a kid who ends up paired with Susie on what seems to be a particularly awful day. However, the two end up in the Dark World and find out about a prophecy that might be about them. In this place, they meet Ralsei, Lancer, and a variety of other interesting characters.

Instead of playing as only a single character, Deltarune explores the use of a party. Considering how the first chapter ended, the next part of the story is likely to expand on multiple open ends. It’s also entirely possible that characters who look like Undertale ones will be making their appearance.

You can download Chapter 2 on the game’s Steam page.
