Publisher Deep Silver has announced that a newly formed studio will be tackling the development of TimeSplitters. This team, Free Radical Design, will be performing this task, with key members of the original team returning for this reformation, including founders Steve Ellis and David Doak.

Paul Nicholls, the Global Brand and Marketing Director at Deep Silver, had this to say regarding this team reformation:

“It’s this unique style that earned the TimeSplitters series a large and passionate following who will, without doubt, be excited by the formation of Deep Silver’s latest studio and will look forward to learning more as the franchise moves forward.

Steve Ellis, the Studio Development Director at Free Radical Design, had this to say regarding the team reformation:

“To finally be able to confirm that the studio has been formed and that we have a plan for the next TimeSplitters game is incredible. While we cannot tell you anything more at the moment, we look forward to sharing information in the future.”
Free Radical Design has a 22-year history and is responsible for various early 2000s classics such as the original TimeSplitters, the first title they released in 2000. This title received 2 further iterations with humorous pop-culture references as players battle across various locations and historical periods.
