Brutal Action Platformer ‘Death’s Gambit’ PS4 Physical Edition Out Now

From publisher Skybound Games, in partnership with Adult Swim Games and developer White Rabbit, the first-ever physical edition of brutal action platformer Death’s Gambit is now available on PlayStation 4 at major retailers and via Skybound.com in North America for $24.99. The game will be making its way to Europe and other territories this Friday, June 28.

As you could’ve probably guessed from the game’s title alone, Death’s Gambit has a whole lot of dying in it. Why’s that? Well, it delivers a brutal, monster-slaying adventure against the legendary immortals of Siradon, a highly stylized gothic world of beasts, knights, horrors, guardians, and more.

Death’s Gambit has you play as an agent of Death, which gives you the power to wield an arsenal of powerful weapons and abilities. Your wicked arsenal will come in handy as you’ll face insanely challenging battles that require you to master the art form of being nimble yet deadly.

Rather than sticking to only one class with a set of distinct specialties, you can choose from seven playable classes, customize your champion with new gear and talents to your heart’s content, and decide which play style is the best fit for you to ensure you survive rather than, well, die.

With your mighty champion, you’ll be dealing death in various places — such as in dark forests, medieval ruins, and frozen wastes. Sure, there’s the usual grunt enemies to worry about, but the real challenge lies in all the towering boss fights, along with the ultimate tests of skill in the Heroic or New Game Plus modes.

Death’s Gambit originally released digitally via Steam, GOG.com, and the PlayStation Store in 2018. Since the game’s release, there has been a slew of new features and enhancements added, including:

  • A new animation-canceling system to make combat more fluid.
  • Added support for speedrunners with skippable cutscenes and an in-game timer.
  • A variety of balance updates, bug fixes, and performance and stability upgrades.
