Death Stranding Reveals PC Release Scheduled After Next Summer
505 Games announced that they’ll be handling the publishing for Kojima Productions Death Stranding on PC, which has a planned release date after summer 2020. The title will launch as a PlayStation 4 exclusive on November 8.
“We are extremely excited and honored to be working with the supremely talented team at Kojima Productions and to bring Death Stranding to PC gamers around the world,” said 505 Games co-founder and CEO Raffi Galante. “Death Stranding will take gamers through a completely original experience that will delight PC gamers everywhere.”
More information about the PC version of the game will be revealed soon, but for now, the announcement is all fans get.
Death Stranding was initially revealed back in 2016. The game marks Kojima’s first major project since he left Konami, and unfortunately, leaving the Metal Gear Solid series behind. Since its reveal, Kojima has been releasing more information about the game, but there is still much to be discussed. Set in the future, players assume the role of Sam Porter Bridges played by Norman Reedus.
The game follows his quest through a strange world inhabited by otherworldly entities and the constant haunting of the past. The element that connects him to the world are found in babies, but even they have an expiration date. Where this game takes the player is anyone’s guess, but we are eagerly awaiting the adventure.
