Death Stranding Gets PC Release Date and Half-Life Crossover Reveal

505 Games announced that the PC version of the Kojima Production-developed adventure game Death Stranding will launch on June 2. The retail price for the game will be $59.99, with pre-orders unlocking HD wallpapers and gold and additional cosmetic items.

The PC version will include a new photo mode, with higher frame rate options and ultra-wide monitor support. Also, the publisher revealed that the title will launch with a crossover with Valve’s adventure game Half-Life. The crossover will include in-game items from the Half-Life series that Sam Bridges can wear.

Death Stranding was initially revealed back in 2016. The game marks Kojima’s first major project since he left Konami, and unfortunately, leaving the Metal Gear Solid series behind. Since its reveal, Kojima has been releasing more information about the game, but there is still much to be discussed. Set in the future, players assume the role of Sam Porter Bridges played by Norman Reedus.

The game follows his quest through a strange world inhabited by otherworldly entities and the constant haunting of the past. The element that connects him to the world are found in babies, but even they have an expiration date. Where this game takes the player is anyone’s guess, but we are eagerly awaiting the adventure.

Death Stranding is available now on PlayStation 4, with some critics not completely enjoying the long-awaited experience.
