PlayStation launched a new trailer for the Hideo Kojima created Death Stranding, coming to PlayStation 4 on November 4.
Hideo Kojima took the stage during the Gamescom Opening Night Live Press Conference to talk about his upcoming game Death Stranding, the developer mentioned that the game is in its crunch time right now and probably shouldn’t be there.
However, that didn’t stop him from introducing Mama, who is hooked up to a baby which limits her from mobility and freedom. You see, the baby was born on the other side and not in her world, but they are still connected. Mama, like all characters in the game, has a side story. Additionally, the developer revealed Bridge Baby and Deadman, played by Guillermo del Toro. Deadman has some useful knowledge on the Bridge Baby and how to upgrade them in order to keep them alive. He also mentions that no Bridge Baby has been alive for over a year, which means that Sam won’t be able to see the enemies for too long unless he figures something out.
Death Stranding was initially revealed back in 2016. The game marks Kojima’s first major project since he left Konami, and unfortunately, leaving the Metal Gear Solid series behind. Kojima has been giving us cryptic clues for Death Stranding via obscure trailers, but the latest trailer is the first true reveal of the game.
More gameplay will be shown during Tokyo Game Show 2019.
