Aksys Games has launched the full version of the Experience developed adventure horror visual novel Death Mark on PC-via Steam, available now with launch week discount.
Death Mark tells the story of a curse that appears on human skin which signifies that you will die. The game follows a group of people who investigate their own curses as the aim to fight against the spirits who gave them to them. The game features many moments of gore and horror as players must search through dungeon-like environments in the first person and solve puzzles to get through to the next areas.
Originally releasing on PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch in the west, Death Mark received some slight censorship with the removal of a torture CG where a woman was forcibly being fed spiders. However, this scene is now present in the final build of the game with the product description including, “There is also a scene with a woman being tortured by having her mouth forcibly held open and being fed spiders.“
At the time, this seemed like a strange image to remove given that the game features other torture CG scenes involving half-naked female characters, albeit not as intense as being fed spiders.
