Death end re;Quest 2 Publisher Asks Community if They Want Old Glitch Costumes Put Back in PC Version, But There’s a Catch

Idea Factory International is being transparent with the localization of Death end re;Quest 2.

During gameplay, characters can transform during an event known as “Glitch.” Aside from becoming stronger and gaining a few new abilities, the character changes into a new costume that shows some skin. Evidently, in the latest entry, some of the old costumes have been altered, which cover up more surface area than in Death end re;Quest, which released on PlayStation 4 and PC.

Fans took notice of the changes and requested that the old Glitch costumes be put back for the release, at least for the PC version. The publisher has now reached out to the community to ask if they would like the old Glitch costumes put back into the game.

However, there’s a catch; the team can only include either the old designs or the new ones due to development costs. This option is only available for the PC version, and when implanted, players will be able to see the original Glitch costumes in battle and in-game menus. The publisher adds that the costumes will not appear in event CGs or movie cinematics.

The survey is open from now until April 2 to put in your opinion.

Death End Re;Quest 2’s story stars Mai Toyama, who is seeking an escape from her traumatic past. She finds herself inrolled in an all-girls dormitory known as Wordsworth, in Le Choara. She finds herself there as she searches for her sister, Sanae, who was last seen in the city. However, she soon discovers that the town turns to a nightmare during the night as the streets are filled with what is known as Shadow Matter, a group of creatures. As Mai explores more, she gets closer to the truth of her sister’s whereabouts.
