2.5D Action-Adventure ‘Dead or School’ Gets Western Release Date on PS4 and Switch

Marvelous announced that the Studio Nanafushi-developed 2.5D action-adventure, Dead or School, will launch on PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch on March 13. The game will launch both digitally and physically in Europe with a digital release only in North America.

Originally exclusive to PC-via Steam, Dead or School invites players to fight for survival against a zombie infestation that has begun overrunning Tokyo. Players assume the role of Hisako, who just wants to have a normal school life, but that’s kind of hard since hordes of zombies are prowling the streets. Upon hearing stories told by her grandmother about what it’s like to go to school, she puts on an old school uniform and sets out to take back her city.

Players will travel across Tokyo and visit real-life locations in places such as Shinjuku, Asakusa, Akihabara, and Roppongi. Hisako excels in using various weapons and abilities that can be upgraded as she progresses through this nightmare. Furthermore, collectibles can be found around the levels that reveal more about why the zombie outbreak occurred.

Additionally, the publisher released a new trailer showing the console version of the game. The game’s availability will be announced at a later date.
