JAST USA announced that the metalogiq-developed action fantasy visual novel Dead End Aegis: Gaiden is available now on PC-via Steam.
Dead End Aegis: Gaiden is the prequel to the upcoming Dead End Aegis, and this free version gives players the chance to play through the all-ages version of the game. This means that you can play it with your family and experience a magical girl adventure about war and other cute things.
Dead End Aegis: Gaiden is a kinetic visual novel that introduces key characters of the series and goes over their origins. Players will meet, Lisette, Circe, and Canxue as they do whatever they can to stop an alien threat. The story unfolds through visual novel-style gameplay, where the story unfolds through a manga-like presentation, with fully-voiced characters and beautiful 2D artwork.
Dead End Aegis tells the story of a struggle between mankind and extraterrestrial threat. To combat this, magical girls have been deployed as soldiers on the frontline. The characters are each drawn in cute magical girl fashion, but the story has them take on some pretty intense fights.
These girls are soldiers, so don’t take their cute costumes for granted, they’ll probably kick your ass. The story is tense with high moments of emotional interaction between the characters. It’s a painful story in some moments with Ueda Metawo bringing the scenes to life in CGs. War is not for the faint of heart, and the story doesn’t gloss over that.
Dead End Aegis is available on PC-via JAST Store on January 7, 2022.
