Magical Girl Action Visual Novel ‘Dead End Aegis’ Available Now in English

JAST USA has released the metalogiq-developed action fantasy visual novel Dead End Aegis on PC-via JAST Store.

The developer has recently shared the free prologue Dead End Aegis: Gaiden on PC-via Steam for anyone who wants to get to know the characters in an all-ages environment.

Dead End Aegis features illustrations from artist Ueda Metawo, who also worked on SaDistic BlooD. However, Dead End Aegis is a much longer game that doesn’t focus on dark themes.

Dead End Aegis tells the story of a struggle between mankind and extraterrestrial threat. To combat this, magical girls have been deployed as soldiers on the frontline. The characters are each drawn in cute magical girl fashion, but the story has them take on some pretty intense fights.

These girls are soldiers, so don’t take their cute costumes for granted, they’ll probably kick your ass. The story is tense with high moments of emotional interaction between the characters. It’s a painful story in some moments with Ueda Metawo bringing the scenes to life in CGs. War is not for the faint of heart, and the story doesn’t gloss over that.

It should be noted that this is an adult game with rather intense CG depictions of the female cast.
