Ahead of the Dead Cells: Return to Castlevania DLC launching next week, I had the opportunity to play through the content early. And we can now show ten minutes of gameplay. While I chose to refrain from showing boss battles and select interactions in this footage, you can get an in-depth peek at the Castle Outskits map and some of Dracula’s Castle.
For those unaware of what this DLC comprises, here’s a rundown. Players can look forward to a new storyline where Richter Belmont approaches The Beheaded (Dead Cells protagonist) following the appearance of Dracula’s castle. 14 iconic weapons, including Holy Water, are useable alongside two biomes in the castle. Moreover, 51 alternative Castlevania tunes and 12 remixed in the Dead Cells style will be implemented. This is also stated to be the title’s most extensive added content. The player character will meet and interact with Alucard, Maria, and Dracula from the Castlevania franchise, too.
Dead Cells: Return to Castlevania DLC will launch for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC on March 6, 2023.
Dead Cells is an action roguelike where players enter various Biomes to defeat mobs of enemies. Many boss encounters will put the player’s skills to the test.
It is currently available on many platforms, including Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox, iOS, Android, and PC via Microsoft Windows and Steam.
