Dead Cells: Return to Castlevania DLC Launching March 2023; New Gameplay Trailer

Developer Motion Twin has announced that the Dead Cells: Return to Castlevania DLC will launch for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC on March 6, 2023. Additionally, pre-orders are now available for Switch and Epic Games users for $9.99.

This trailer highlights familiar Castlevania elements, such as the ability to use the Throwing Axe, the Vampire Killer, and Alucard’s sword to battle werewolves, skeletons, and more. Further, players will be able to face Dracula and Death.

According to the Steam blog post, this content is only around 5% of what the DLC offers.

Summatively, players can look forward to a new storyline where Richter Belmont approaches The Beheaded following the appearance of Dracula’s castle. 14 iconic weapons, including Holy Water, are useable alongside two biomes in the aforementioned castle. Moreover, 51 Castlevania tunes and 12 remixed in the Dead Cells style will be implemented. This is also stated to be the biggest piece of added content for the title.
