Dead Cells ‘Fatal Falls’ DLC Revealed to Release in 2021 and Main Game Revealed to Have Sold 3.5 Million Copies

Motion Twin and Evil Empire have announced that their award winning rougelite, Dead Cells will be receiving its 22nd major DLC update in Quarter 1 of 2021. Additionally, this marks the second paid DLC that the game will have received in its lifetime. This paid DLC, dubbed ‘Fatal Falls’ will cost $4.99 and will introduce a great variety of new content.

Two new biomes, The Fractured Shrines and The Undying Shores are confirmed to appear as well as a new boss. These new additions are parallels to the Stilt Village, Clock Tower and Timekeeper areas and their alternate paths. A cache of new weapons is also confirmed for this upcoming DLC and details on those will be revealed in the near future. All of these additions aim to provide players with new exploratory gameplay options, and difficult to overcome challenges.

The first paid DLC for Dead Cells, ‘The Bad Seed’, dropped earlier this year for $4.99 and also granted players an impressive slew of new content.

Additionally, it was revealed that Dead Cells has now sold over 3.5 million copies, a truly landmark accomplishment.

Dead Cells is currently available on a multitude of platforms including Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox, iOS, Android and PC via Microsoft Windows and Steam.
