Action Roguelite ‘Dead Cells’ Launches Corrupted Update Adding 83 New Changes to the Title

Motion Twin launched a new update for their action-adventure game Dead Cells, available now on PC, with the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch release to follow later in November.

The update is titled Corrupted and adds a host of new systems to the game. For starters, players will find a new optional mini biome, mirroring Prison Depths, which offers shorter challenges features one cursed chest at the beginning. There is also Scroll Fragments, that player can combine to make a triple scroll.

Experienced players will also find that the Recycling Tubes, a new meta upgrade, is available when beating the Hand of the King. This Tubes replace the starting gear with four sets of five random items, melee, ranged, shield and two skills, and players can choose which one to start with. This aims to smooth out the difficulty of the first level for advanced players.

In total there are 83  changes made to the game with the update. Players will find that a new rune called the Explorer’s Instinct is available that reveals the whole map and points of interest. There has also been a complete rebalancing of the biomes and paths, along with three new Tactics mutations, Crows Feet, Tactical Retreat, and Networking.
