Dead Cells Reveals ‘The Bad Seed’ as Paid DLC, But This Isn’t the End of Post-Launch Free Content
Motion Twin revealed The Bad Seed DLC launch plans for their action roguelike Dead Cells, which is scheduled to release on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC in Q1 2020 for $4.99.
The Bad Seed DLC adds new content for players to discover including new biomes, weapons, and enemies. The two new biomes being added to the game are The Arboretum and The Swamp. Both levels will have new areas to explore along with new enemies to fight such as huge purple ticks that roam around the grounds of The Swamp.
While this is paid content, The Bad Seed DLC is not the end of the free post-launch updates that the developers have been rolling out for the title. Free content, such as balancing, and systemic updates are planned to release. More importantly, this paid DLC will allow the developers to continue to focus on developing Dead Cells.
Recently, the developer revealed a new update that added in 83 balance and quality-of-life features for free to the game. The update also included new modes and ways for players to get through the game.
If you want to know more about Dead Cells, we recently had an interview with the team during PAX West.
