Dead Cells Gets Animated Trailer for Free ‘Rise of the Giant’ DLC
Motion Twin launched a new trailer showcasing the free DLC update coming to their action adventure game Dead Cells.
The free update, titled Rise of the Giant, will release on March 28 for PC, with the console release to follow soon. The animated trailer gives players a look at the enemies and perilous environments that players will face in the upcoming DLC. The trailer also gives players a glimpse at the items, weapons, and level that are headed to the game.
Additionally, players who have beaten the game at least once will face off against new powerful enemies, but they can also access over 50 new character outfits to enjoy while dying multiple times.
The free update includes:
- 10 new enemy types
- 10 new weapons have been introduced, including the Giant Killer, the Boi Axe and the Thunder Shield, if you’re into that sort of thing.
- Three new skills have been included in the game
- And for the most advanced players: Rise of the Giant holds a new hidden level including an entirely new ending to your story

Dead Cells is available now on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PC.
