Dawn of Kagura: Maika’s Story – The Dragon’s Wrath Brings Priestess Roguelike Shenanigans West to PC Next Week
Publisher Shiravune has announced the release date for Dawn of Kagura: Maika’s Story – The Dragon’s Wrath, the fourteenth title in Debonosu Works’ Dawn of Kagura series. The English and Chinese edition of the roguelike RPG will be available on PC via Steam and Johren on September 30, 2022.
Dawn of Kagura: Maika’s Story – The Dragon’s Wrath focuses on a priestess called Maika Tono (CV: Misuzu Furin), who has become famous for sealing a nine-tailed fox youkai. One day, she receives a new mission which may prove to be a really tough challenge: dealing with an angry dragon god.
Ryujin’s shrine was destroyed because the village next to it was investing on a redevelopment in order to attract tourists. As a result, it pissed off the god, whose anger ended up causing other youkai to go berserk as well. Now the village is in a chaotic state and it’s up to Maika to take up arms and protect the people.
Dawn of Kagura: Maika’s Story – The Dragon’s Wrath has around 10 hours of gameplay, and includes the systems from previous Dawn of Kagura games. By recruiting youkai and training them, you’ll be able to bolster your ranks to deal with the enemy formations, which will be different for every playthrough.
