Dawn of Fear Borrows From Classic Survival Horror Titles and It’s Coming to PS4 Next Month

Indie developer Brok3nSite released a new trailer for their survival-horror adventure Dawn of Fear, coming to PlayStation 4 on February 3.

Dawn of Fear is a survival-horror game that borrows from classic titles in the genre such as Resident Evil and Silent Hill. The camera is stationary and follows a character by the name of Alex, who has gone through many hardships in his lifetime.

During gameplay, players will need to solve puzzles and collect clues in order to get through the game. However, that’s not too easy with deadly zombie-like enemies roaming around. Players will need to conserve ammunition as they make their way through a mysterious mansion.

The developer released a new gameplay trailer that highlights much of what players can expect from the game. The trailer shows Alex running through narrow halls while avoiding and taking out zombies. It also gives a preview of the game’s puzzle elements that require the player to put some thought behind how to progress, this also includes combining items and interacting with objects.

Currently, the game is being released on PS4 with no planned PC release from what we see. This keeps the retro vibe seeing how Resident Evil was largely seen as a PlayStation franchise, even though it released on other platforms.
