Mintrocket has shared new details on the next major expansion for Dave the Diver. Revealed during a new Developer Dive video, the DLC titled In the Jungle is set to release in early 2026 and will add roughly ten hours of new story content.
The expansion introduces Utara, a jungle village that operates on a real-time system. From this new hub, Dave can dive, gather fruit and resources, and complete side quests for villagers. Building relationships is central to progression, with stronger bonds unlocking new rewards that also connect back to Bancho’s business.
A significant addition is Bancho Grill, a new restaurant located in Utara. Unlike Bancho Sushi, this restaurant allows free movement across multiple areas while serving customers.
Dave now dives into a large freshwater lake filled with new creatures, hazards, and ingredients. To adapt, he gains access to the Jungle Gun, a modular weapon that can switch between net gun, shotgun, sniper, and standard firing modes. The expansion also introduces a more open, isometric-style camera.
Alongside the DLC update, the studio also confirmed that Dave the Diver is heading to mobile platforms. Rather than a direct port, the mobile version is being explicitly redesigned for phones and tablets, with features tailored to touch and motion input. The mobile release will launch first in China, followed by a global release later in 2026.
Dave the Diver is available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox on PC and Xbox Cloud, Nintendo Switch, Switch 2, and PC.
