Romance Visual Novel ‘Date A Live: Rio Reincarnation’ Gets Western Release Date on PS4

Idea Factory International announced that the romance visual novel Date A Live: Rio Reincarnation, will launch on PlayStation 4 on June 18 in North America and June 21 in Europe.

The PS4 version of the game will have 2 modified images, so fans wanting the full version will need to wait until the PC release of the game.

Date A Live: Rio Reincarnation adds a brand new character, Rio, to the game. Evidentally, she just shows up and calls Shido “Papa” and is searching for the “most important thing.” Now, I know those who have never heard of this series are left in the dark about all this, but thankfully the Rio Reincarnation version of the game includes both Rinne Utopia and Arusu Install, which were released on PlayStation 3, to catch you up.

Each visual novel is around 40 hours long and allows the player to spend time with the 11 different characters and choose from over 150 dating events. Throughout the story, players will make choices that affect each girl’s feelings for the player and how they interact with him. Illustrations in the game have also been given some life as the characters react to your conversations and move their mouths.
