Romance Visual Novel ‘Date A Live: Rio Reincarnation’ Delayed to July in the West for PS4 and PC
Idea Factory International announced that their romance visual novel Date A Live: Rio Reincarnation will be delayed from its scheduled June 18 release date to July 23 in North America and July 26 in Europe on PlayStation and July worldwide for PC-via Steam.
The publisher gave no release for the delay in the announcement. However, the PC version will now include the original Japanese text and Traditional Chinese subtitles.
Date A Live: Rio Reincarnation adds a brand new character, Rio, to the game. Evidentally, she just shows up and calls Shido “Papa” and is searching for the “most important thing.” Now, I know those who have never heard of this series are left in the dark about all this, but thankfully the Rio Reincarnation version of the game includes both Rinne Utopia and Arusu Install, which were released on PlayStation 3, to catch you up.
Each visual novel is around 40 hours long and allows the player to spend time with the 11 different characters and choose from over 150 dating events. Throughout the story, players will make choices that affect each girl’s feelings for the player and how they interact with him. Illustrations in the game have also been given some life as the characters react to your conversations and move their mouths.
The PS4 version of the game will have 2 modified CG images, while the PC release will have all original CGs.
