Darksiders II Deathinitive Edition Gets Release Date for Nintendo Switch

THQ Nordic announced that Darksiders II Deathinitive Edition will launch on Nintendo Switch on September 26.

Darksiders II Deathinitive Edition continues the battle between heaven and hell and brings the fight to Switch players. The definitive release contains all the DLC that has been released on the cartridge which extends the game’s runtime to over 30 hours. Additional improvements include reworked balancing as well as a better loot distribution system. Players will find improved graphics for a bitter quality especially in terms of lighting and shadows.

During Darksiders II, players assume the role of Death, one of the most feared members of the legendary Four Horseman. As he carves his path through the game’s story, players will be able to customize their experience by leveling up and upgrading Death’s skill tree and weapons. The game features an open-world where players can take on side-quests alongside the main mission, which will yield greater rewards.

Additionally, the publisher released a new trailer showing the game running on Nintendo Switch hardware to give players a look at the updated visuals.

Darksiders II Deathinitive Edition is available now on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
