Stylish Hack and Slash ‘Darkness Rises’ Receives Content Update

Korean mobile developed Nexon announced a new update available for players of their hack and slash action title Darkness Rises, available now for iOS and Android.

The free-to-play title adds a new boss battle against an enemy known as Gigantes. This boss has a high level of difficulty and will be for players who require tougher opponents in the post game. This battle will be available in Boss Raids as well.

Additionally, the game has updated its systems based on player feedback. The game now has an upgraded costume collection system, Grimoire system, and additional events for players to experience. Also, new costumes have been added for players who enjoy those kinds of things.

Darkness Rises launched in the west earlier this year with plenty of fanfare. The game currently holds a 4.7 out of 5 review score on the iOS market with most players demanding more customizable content, which it seems this update is addressing.

In-app purchases range from $.99 to $99.99 per item.

Author’s take: These games all look great and I’m impressed with what developers are capable of with mobile hardware. However, I am not an expert in this field and rarely use my phone for playing video games.
